How to read these numbers
Proficiency rates measure how many students met the state's standard, not how much they grew over the year. Charter schools enroll students by application and, when full, by lottery, so their students can differ from those at neighborhood schools.
Among the large traditional high schools, Desert Mountain and Chaparral in Scottsdale Unified, Mountain Ridge and Sandra Day O'Connor in Deer Valley Unified, and Pinnacle in Paradise Valley Unified all placed in the top 15.
Each school's page on allk12 shows its test results by year, enrollment, and demographics. You can browse every school from the Arizona schools page.
