Online Public Schools Now Enroll More Than 800,000 Students
An allk12 analysis of federal school data for 2024-25 counts 1,583 public schools flagged as virtual or online, enrolling 811,411 students between them. The 15 biggest hold about a fifth of that total. Not one of the 1,583 has a test proficiency score in the same data.
