Boys are falling behind girls in school, but experts disagree on why
Girls outnumber boys about two to one in the top tenth of American high school GPAs, and boys outnumber girls by the same margin at the bottom. That much is measured and consistent. The popular explanation, that boys' brains need different classrooms, is the part eight researchers called pseudoscience in the journal Science.
